Canon MG7120 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One Printer

Canon MG7120 is the latest MG AIO lineup from Pixma series which offers copying, scanning, photo printing and document printing features like its predecessor. If you consider the sticker price ($199) of Canon Pixma MG7120 wireless Inkjet photo all-in-one printer, you will realize this light duty printer is not a cheap printer. However, it is packed with lots of features. If your primary concern is to print vibrant photos and document printing comes next to you, then this printer could be a good choice while compared with its rival. The printer supports Auto duplex Feature. It can print on CD/DVD and supports Disc labeling as well.

Canon MG7120 Features

When it comes to printing images, Canon MG7120 can print approximately 15 images per minute (ipm) for Black & White image content and, for color image, it will print approximately 10 images per minute (ipm). The 4’x6’ inch borderless photo printing will take approximately 21 seconds. This printer can provide support for printing in the following paper sizes: 4”x6”, 5”x7”, Letter, Legal, U.S. #10 Envelopes.

Tray Capacity is of 125 Sheets of plain paper, in the Lower Cassette, for paper printing, and 20 sheets of Photo Paper of size 4”x6” or 10 Sheets of Photo Paper of size 5”x7”, for photo printing, in the upper cassette. Printer ink compatibility is in wide range as it supports following cartridges: PGI-250 pigment black XL, CLI-251 cyan, magenta, yellow XL.

Photo copying speed is 14 seconds approximately for the color content. The content can be zoomed anywhere between in a range of minimum of 25% – maximum of 400%. Standard copying, Borderless copying, Fit –to-page copying and multiple copying are the various features supported by the Copier. Scanner type supported in Canon MG7120 all-in-one printer is flatbed scanner, which is the most common scanner type available in the market.  Maximum scan resolutions supported by this scanner are 2400 x 4800 dpi for optical scanning and 19200 x 19200 dpi for interpolated scanning.

Design

Canon MG7120 comes with 3.5″ touch screen LCD display mount on the top of the printer. You can edit or select images which you fetch from media card reader or PictBridge compatible camera.

The dimension of glossy black, box shaped printer is 18.4″ (W) x 14.6″ (D) x 5.9″ (H) and weighs 18.1 lbs. It is available in four colors black, white, red and brown. Both input and output trays are located in front of the printer. Thus, you can push it towards wall.

Connectivity

Canon Pixma MG7120 can directly print Smart phone, Android and IPhone contents as the printer has support for  Google cloud printing,  Apple AirPrint and PPS. The PIXMA Printing Solutions (PPS) App is available in both Google play and IOS app store.  The Airprint feature allows users to print content wirelessly from iPhone, iPad and other Mac devices. It supports auto duplex printing which means it can print on both sides of paper automatically.  You can connect Canon MG7120 printer to your computer wirelessly and via USB cable. Aside from these, user can print directly from memory cards. The Pixma MG7120 comes with PictBridge feature which prints content of  pictBridge enabled camera wirelessly

The common advantage is the high quality photo printing, AirPrint enabled and inbuilt scanner copier. The only disadvantage is that it runs out of cartridges very soon.
